Overview

Treez Ecommerce makes it easy to set your customers up for successful deliveries. You can set up delivery zones by ZIP code(s) or by geographic radius and configure custom delivery fees, order minimums, and free delivery thresholds for each zone.

Delivery Zones

A delivery zone is an area that shares one delivery fee, order minimum, and free delivery threshold. Delivery zones can be set up using a list of ZIP codes or with a given geographic radius, i.e. distance from your store.

Types of Delivery Zones

There are three unique ways to set up the parameters of your delivery zone(s):

  1. ZIP — Input one or more ZIP codes

  2. Radius — Input how many miles from your store location you are willing to deliver

  3. Geofence — Input the boundaries of a delivery zone by selecting points on the map

Delivery Fees

To keep your options flexible, each delivery zone has its own fee structure. There are three primary configs within Treez Ecommerce delivery fee settings:

  1. Cart Minimum — The minimum order value required for a customer's cart to be eligible for delivery.

  2. Delivery Fee — The customer's cost to have their order delivered.

  3. Free Delivery Minimum (Free after...) — The minimum order value required for a customer's cart to be eligible for free delivery.

Here are some examples of what a single store's delivery fee structure might look like for each of their delivery zones:

Zone Name

Cart Minimum

Delivery Fee

Free Delivery Minimum

Zone 1 (Express)

$25

$5

$50

Zone 2 (Standard)

$40

$5

$75

Zone 3 (Extended)

$75

$10

$125

How to Set Up a New Delivery Zone

  1. Login to your Treez Ecommerce Admin panel and navigate to Settings → Delivery Schedules.

  2. Click the Add Delivery Zone button

  3. Enter the delivery zone's name. We suggest using consistent naming conventions for all of your delivery zones, such as by delivery type (e.g. Express, Standard, Extended), neighborhood name, or simply numbered (e.g. Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3).

  4. Select the corresponding store from the Store ID dropdown menu. Note that each delivery zone can only be associated with one store location.

  5. Select which type of delivery zone you want to configure from the Geo Type dropdown menu.

    1. ZIP — Enter one or more ZIP codes with a comma separating each ZIP code from the next (e.g. 94102,94101,94103)

    2. Radius — Enter the number of miles from your store location you are willing to deliver (e.g. 2)

    3. Geofence — Click the Update button below the map and configure the boundaries of the zone by clicking points on the map, then click Add to save.

  6. Configure the delivery zone's Fees

    1. Cart Minimum — The minimum order value required for a customer's cart to be eligible for delivery.

    2. Delivery Fee — The customer's cost to have their order delivered.

    3. Free Delivery Minimum — The minimum order value required for a customer's cart to be eligible for free delivery.

  7. If you want to enable Express delivery for this zone, toggle Express Menu to On/Active (green). This will allow you to configure the inventory location(s) and delivery time slot for this zone's express menu.

  8. Configure your Working Hours, aka the hours delivery is available for this zone, as well as delivery time slot(s) and their respective cutoff time(s).

    1. Enter the start time and end time that customers are able to place delivery orders.

    2. For each time slot, enter the time at which deliveries in that slot begin and the time they end, along with the cutoff time. Customers must order before the cutoff time in order to receive a delivery in that time slot.

  9. If you would like to apply the same delivery hours and time slots to every day of the week, toggle Apply this configuration to everyday to Active/On (green). If different days have different delivery schedules, navigate using the day of the week tabs to enter each day's corresponding working hours.

  10. When you're done configuring this delivery zone, be sure to click Save to save your changes.

  11. To publish all changes to your website, select Publish from the store status menu in the upper right.

  12. Voila! You've configured a new delivery zone for your Treez Ecommerce site.
