You can expand your Treez Ecommerce site by adding new pages through the Prismic content management system (CMS). Follow these simple steps to create and link new pages to your website’s main navigation.
If you want site visitors to be able to find a new page through your navigation menu, you must update the navigation menu to add the new link. Follow the instructions outlined in Part 2, below.
You may skip navigation menu updates if you are creating a page that will only be linked to from a specific email, social post, or other webpage.
Part 1: Create a New Page in Prismic
Open Prismic: Log into your Prismic repository
Create a new page: Click “Create new page”
Select “General” > “General Landing Page”
Set the URL Slug: Enter the URL slug based on the page type you want to create. This will be added to your web address to create the full URL that directs users to this exact page. For example, if your web address is demo.treez.io, then:
Add a Page Title: This will be the page’s main heading.
Optional: Configure additional values to customize your page further.
Add Slices: Use Slices to design your page. Slices are content blocks with various styles, including images, text, event calendars, and more. Use dynamic content like images, descriptions, or event calendars to bring your page to life.
Save and Publish your page.
Part 2: Link the New Page to Your Main Navigation (Desktop)
Find the Navigation Document: Go to your Prismic document repository and search for “Navigation”
Edit the Main Navigation: Open the Main Navigation page
Add a New Link:
Save and Publish your changes.
Once published, your new page will now appear in the top navigation bar of your Treez Ecommerce website, as shown below. You can repeat these steps to create and link additional pages as needed.
