Overview
The customer profile panel on the cart screen shows a summary of a customer's history with your business — how long they've been a customer, how much they've spent, how often they visit, and when they last came in.
Without central customer enabled, these figures describes the customer's activity at the current store only. With central customer enabled, these change to describe activity across every store in the organization. The panel itself looks nearly identical; what changes is the scope of the numbers in it.
With Central Customer enabled, 2 new customer profile level metrics were also introduced:
Avg. Visit Frequency metric - Avg days between purchases org wide
Last Purchase Details - The ability to drill down on the last purchased to view the product lines and amounts of that purchase regardless of which store it occurred at.
Metric Breakdown:

How to Read the Metrics
Metrics count completed purchases, not check-ins. A customer who checks in without buying anything doesn't increase their order count, and refunds and exchanges aren't counted as additional purchases.
They update as sales happen. Each completed sale updates the customer's organization-wide totals, so the panel reflects a purchase made at another store minutes earlier.
Member Since may predate your store's own record. Because it reflects the customer's earliest record anywhere in the organization, a customer new to your location can show a Member Since date from years ago at a sibling store.
Avg. Visit Frequency needs at least two purchases before it can be calculated, so it stays blank for customers with a single visit.
Organization-wide figures require a linked customer. If a customer's store profile hasn't been linked to an organization profile yet, the panel shows your store's own numbers until it is.
If organization data is briefly unavailable, the panel falls back to your store's figures rather than showing nothing, and updates once the profile loads.
Last Visit Details
When central customer is enabled, the Last Visit date becomes selectable and opens a Last Visit Details (Cross Store) view.
It shows where the visit happened, along with the date and the order total — which may be a different store than the one you're in.
It lists what the customer purchased, with the product names and quantities from that order.
It reflects the customer's most recent purchase anywhere in the organization, giving staff useful context for recommendations and conversation without leaving the cart.
New Customer Indicator
Alongside the metrics, a New badge appears next to the customer's name on the cart screen when the customer is on their genuine first purchase within the organization.
A customer who has shopped at another location won't carry the badge, even if it's their first visit to your store — which keeps it consistent with how Nth visit discounts are applied.
What's Next
This release is the first iteration of central customer metrics in the point of sale. It establishes the foundation — a single, organization-wide view of a customer's purchase history — and surfaces the figures budtenders need most at the register.
A more detailed customer insights view is coming soon, built on the same cross-store data. Rather than totals alone, it will describe a customer's purchase behavior and patterns across every location they shop, including:
Favorite brands, categories, and subcategories, based on what they actually buy rather than what they've said they prefer.
Shopping patterns, such as the days and times they most often visit and the payment methods they typically use.
The goal is to give budtenders meaningful context in the moment — enough to make a confident recommendation to a customer they may have never served before, at a store the customer may have never visited.
