Metric Cards Explained
Customer to Brand Retention
On the retention matrix, the y-axis represents the month a customer purchased a brand for the first time, while the x-axis represents the number of months after they’ve made the purchase.
Column 0 represents the month these customers actually purchased this brand for the first time, while columns 1, 2, 3, ... etc. represent the percentage of customers who repurchased the same brand 1, 2, 3, ...etc. months after the first purchase.
When analyzing the sample screenshot above, it shows us that of all the customers who purchased a brand for the first time in the month of June, 58% of them repurchased that brand 1 month later, while 47% of those same customers repurchased that same brand 2 months later.
