Metric Cards Explained
Gross Receipts
Shows the total dollar amount collected for the selected date range. On a receipt, this would be the grand total after discounts and taxes.

Taxes
Shows the total dollar amount of taxes collected for the selected date range. This includes excise, sales, and custom/local tax amounts.

Net Sales
Shows the total dollar amount collected before taxes for the selected date range. On a receipt, this would be the subtotal before taxes are applied.

COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)
Shows the carrying value of goods sold during the selected date range. The COGs shown on this report do not include excise.

Flower Weight Sold (lbs.)
Tracks the number of units of flower sold and displays their corresponding total weight for the selected date range.

Transactions
Shows the number of completed sales for the selected date range.

New Customers
Shows the count of 1st-time purchasers within a date range.

Repeated Purchase
The Repeated Purchase count records how many times your customers (who have at least one previous purchase in their history) have returned and made another purchase in the time frame selected.
Using July 1, 2021 - July 31, 2021 as an example, let's say Customer A visited the store for the very first time (and made a purchase) in June. If Customer A made 1 purchase in July, they would have 1 repeat purchase in July. If they made 2 purchases in July, they would have 2 repeat purchases. So the count of Repeat Purchases are incremented for every purchase subsequent to the first purchase Customer A makes.

Gross Margin
Shows the percentage difference between Net Sales and Cost of Goods (without excise) divided by Net Sales.
Think of it as the portion of sales revenue a company retains after accounting for costs associated with the sale. The higher the gross margin percent, the more capital your dispensary retains for the sale.

Gross Income
Shows the amount earned before anything is taken out for taxes or deductions for the selected date range. This is calculated by subtracting the Cost of Goods from Net Sales. This number will vary if you choose to include or exclude excise in your calculation.

Average Items Per Order
Shows the average number of all items, divided by the total number of orders for the selected date range.

Average Order Value
Shows the average dollar amount spent each time a customer places an order. To calculate the AOV we take the sum total of gross receipt and divide it by the count of distinct sales transactions.

Avg In-Store Checkout
Shows the average amount of time between the order being created and completed for the selected date range.

Shows a KPI overview of each order channel for the selected date range.
