This article outlines the steps for customers utilizing the TreezPay PIN Debit solution to easily setup their payment devices.

Add PIN Debit Routing Account
Navigate to Configuration > Configuration Page > Cash Handling > Add Account

Enter an appropriate account name (i.e. 2accept Pin/Debit)

Select Tracked Account as Account Type

Select Integrated Pin/Debit as Payment Type

Select “+Add New Account”
Setup and Enable PIN Debit Payment Type
Navigate to Configuration > Configuration Page > Point of Sale > Payment Types

- Ensure the toggle for Integrated Pin/Debit is switched to On (Green)
- Select the Account name created in Step 1 from the Default Routing Account dropdown (i.e. 2accept Pin/Debit)
- Ensure that the Per Transaction fee fields are both set to zero. Transaction fees for PIN Debt are setup on the Payment Terminal device by the processor.
NOTE: If you enter payment fees into the Payment Type configuration in Treez, your customers may be charged double the intended payment fees (Once at the terminal and again on the transaction).
Setup and Enable PIN Debit Hardware Locations
Navigate to Configuration > Configuration Page > Hardware > EXAMPLE_LOCATION
- Select the Integrated Pin/Debit Dropdown
- Toggle the Enabled switch to On (Green)
- Enter the Register ID (also known as SPin Register ID or SPin ID) for the relevant terminal for this location
- Click Save
- Click Test. If Test is successful terminal should be ready for a test transaction

- Repeat Step 3 for all terminals that need to be configured
Testing PIN Debit Setup is Working Correctly
Once all terminals are configured in the hardware agent navigate to Retail > Sell Treez POS

- Select a Cash Drawer
- Select an Account
- Select a Location that you configured with a terminal in Step 3
- Create a cart with a test item
- Assign a test customer profile
- Navigate to checkout
- Select Charge Integrated Pin Debit button
- Select Accept button
- If payment is successful a modal will appear indicating a successful payment
- Repeat Step 4 for all terminals
Troubleshooting Tips:
What if my payment devices are not showing up on the Configuration > Config Page > Hardware page?
- If you do not see the drop down pictured below in Configuration > Config Page > Hardware, a configuration may need to be changed to enable your payment devices to be shown in the User Interface. Reach out to Treez support for help enabling this.
What if my test is coming back unsuccessful?
- Please double check that your Register ID (also known as SPin Register ID or SPin ID is entered correctly in the Setup and Enable PIN Debit Hardware Locations configuration.
- If you are unsure what the Register ID for your terminals is, please contact your payment processor.
- Please double check that your Auth Code is entered correctly in the Setup and Enable PIN Debit Hardware Locations configuration.
- If you are unsure what the Register ID for your terminals is, please contact your payment processor.
- Please double check that your payment terminal power and ethernet cable is properly connected to the terminal and the terminal has internet connectivity. If using a wireless terminal, please ensure that your terminal is properly connected to your WIFI.
What if it says Pinpad (Payment Terminal or Payment Device) is unavailable when I try to select Charge Integrated Pin/Debit during checkout?
- Confirm your selected print/hardware location in SellTreez is set to the hardware location you have configured the terminal for in Setup and Enable PIN Debit Hardware Locations. The correct Print/Hardware location must be selected in SellTreez in order for the terminal to communicate with SellTreez.
- Please double check that your payment terminal power and ethernet cable is properly connected to the terminal and the terminal has internet connectivity. If using a wireless terminal, please ensure that your terminal is properly connected to your WIFI.
