Overview

The Express Menu functionality allows customers to place orders for faster delivery from a curated inventory selection. This feature is ideal for dispensaries offering expedited delivery services with shorter fulfillment times.

Configuration Settings

Basic Setup

Active Toggle

  • Login to your Treez Ecommerce admin

  • Navigate to Delivery Schedules to build or edit a Delivery Schedule

  • Enable the Express Menu option for customers

  • When active, customers can choose between regular delivery or express delivery

  • Express delivery typically promises delivery within 30 minutes to 1 hour (customizable)

Active by Default Toggle

  • This setting forces all orders placed during specified time slots to use Express Menu inventory only

  • Useful for evening hours or peak periods when you want to guarantee faster delivery times

  • Customers cannot opt out of express delivery during these periods

Express Menu Details

Express Name

  • Customize the display name for your express delivery option

  • Example: "Same Day Express" or "Rush Delivery"

Time Slots

  • Set specific hours when express delivery is available

  • Configure start and end times based on your operational capacity

Note Field

  • Add custom messaging to inform customers about delivery timeframes

  • Example: "Express orders will be delivered within the hour"

  • This note appears to customers when selecting express delivery

Inventory Management

Inventory Locations

  • Define which inventory locations feed into the Express Menu

  • Only products from selected locations will be available for express orders

  • Allows you to maintain a curated, fast-moving inventory selection

  • Common selections include pre-roll cases and display cases for quick access

Customer Experience

Active Only Mode

  • Customers are provided with the option to choose regular delivery and express delivery options

  • Express option displays your custom note (e.g., "For Same Day Delivery on orders placed after 3pm, order from our Express Menu")

  • Customers can choose their preferred delivery speed

Active by Default Mode

  • During specified time slots, customers can only order from Express Menu inventory

  • Custom messaging explains the express-only requirement

  • Ensures all orders during peak hours use your fastest-fulfilling products

Additional Setup Requirements

Treez Configurations

  • Login to your Treez instance

  • Go to the config page

  • Navigate to ecommerce menu

  • Toggle Express ON

  • Purge cache in your ecomm admin to pick up the setting change

  • This ensures proper integration between your POS and delivery platform

Best Practices

  • Use inventory locations with high-turnover, easily accessible products

  • Set realistic delivery timeframes in your note field

  • Consider enabling "Active by Default" during evening hours when customers expect faster service

  • Regularly review and update your express inventory selection based on demand
