Common Causes of 404 Errors on Location Pages

1. Location Page Not Created in Prismic
If the location does not have an associated page in Prismic, the site will not be able to display it. Without this page, visitors will see a 404 error.

2. Missing or Incorrect Location UID
The page must be linked to the correct Location UID. If the UID is missing or doesn’t match the location’s record in SellTreez > Config Page > Basic Configurations settings or the page will fail to load.

3. Incorrect Navigation Links
If the Main or Side Navigation menus link to a non-existent or unpublished page, visitors may be sent to a 404.

4. Draft or Unpublished Page
If the location page exists but has not been published in Prismic, it will not be live on your website.

Steps to Resolve the 404 Error

  1. Verify the Location Page Exists

    • Log into Prismic and confirm that a location page is created for the location.

    • Ensure that the page is published and not still in draft status.

  2. Check the Location UID

    • Compare the UID in Prismic with the UID in your Treez setup.

    • If they do not match, update the UID in Prismic to match your location’s record under SellTreez > Config Page > Basic Configurations settings

  3. Confirm Navigation Links

    • Check your Main and Side Navigation menus in Prismic.

    • Ensure all links point to the correct, published location page.

  4. Publish the Page

    • After making updates, publish the location page in Prismic so the changes take effect on the live site.
