Location pages are a powerful tool for boosting your local SEO strategy and attracting nearby customers. Treez Ecommerce includes built-in location pages designed to send clear geographic signals to search engines and improve your visibility in local search results. This guide will show you how to optimize and manage these pages in your CMS to drive more traffic and conversions.

📈 How Location Pages Help Boost SEO

  1. Improve Local Search Visibility
Location pages are crucial for ranking in local searches like “best [product/service] near me” or “[service] in [city].” They send clear geographic signals to search engines about the areas you serve, increasing your visibility for location-specific queries.

  2. Target Long-Tail, Location-Based Keywords
Each location page can be optimized for specific long-tail keywords (e.g., "Dispensary in Brooklyn NY"). These are less competitive but highly relevant searches that drive qualified traffic.

  3. Enhance User Experience (UX)
When users land on a page tailored to their area, they find localized information, making it more likely they’ll convert (contact, visit, buy). Google values UX signals like time on site and bounce rates.

  4. Support Google Business Profile (GBP) and Local Pack Rankings
A strong location page reinforces your Google Business Profile listing. Google often pulls information from your website to validate local rankings.

  5. Create Internal Linking Opportunities
Location pages provide a structured way to link to related services, blog posts, or regional events, strengthening site architecture and SEO.

🕵🏻‍♀️ Where can I find my location page in my CMS (Prismic)?

  1. Open Prismic: Log into your Prismic repository

  2. In the Type field enter “Location Page”

  1. Select a Pre-built location page to edit. If you need to add additional Location Pages, click “+Create New Page” and add a new Location Page to your repository.

  2. Location page Structure:

    1. To locate the Location UID, navigate to your /store-locator page and click on a location. The resulting URL will follow the format: https://www.xyz.com/dispensary/UID

    2. In this example, https://www.xyz.com/dispensary/cali-collective-demo, the UID for the store is: cali-collective-demo

🛠️ What Content Should Be Included on Location Pages

  1. Location-Specific Keywords
Integrate relevant terms like city, neighborhood, landmarks, and even colloquial phrases that locals use. Check out this Help Center Document about Keyword best practices.

  2. Unique Descriptions
Avoid using boilerplate content across multiple location pages. Instead, create tailored introductions, highlighting local nuances. Check out this Help Center Document about Description best practices.

  3. Address, Phone Number, and Contact Info
Use a local address and phone number (with proper schema markup) to reinforce local relevance. Our ContactUs Slice is perfect for this!

  4. Localized Reviews and Testimonials
Use our Testimonial Slices to include reviews from customers in that area to build trust and SEO value (especially if you can pull in structured review data).

  5. Maps and Driving Directions
Use our Maps Slice and provide specific driving or public transit directions to your location.

  6. Service Area or Coverage Details
Especially Important for dispensaries offering delivery! List nearby neighborhoods, cities, or zip codes you serve, using our Cities Slice.

  7. Staff or Team Bios
Introduce team members and budtenders using the Team Slice. Humanizing the page can increase engagement.

  8. FAQs
Use the FAQ Slice to answer important questions for your customers. Integrate location specific keywords within the answers.

  9. Photos and Videos
Use original images of the storefront or your team. We have a large number of Image Gallery Slices to choose from! Geotagging photos can even give a small SEO boost.

  10. Clear Calls-to-Action (CTAs) to Shop Now!
Tailor CTA Slices to encourage actions like “Shop our Los Angeles Dispensary Now” or “Get Fast Cannabis Delivery in the Bay Area → Click here for Express Delivery.”

  11. Events & Collabs
Show involvement in the community by referencing or linking to in store or local events, partnerships, or collaborations with local businesses. This can also be built as a separate General Landing page in Prismic.
