Process for ecommerce website rebranding

Overview

This document outlines the process for rebranding your existing ecommerce website. A rebrand includes updating your site's visual identity to reflect new brand assets or switching between light and dark themes.


What Qualifies as a Rebrand?

A rebrand is defined as one of the following:

  • Complete brand overhaul: New colors, fonts, and logos across your entire site

  • Theme switch: Transitioning from a dark theme to a light theme (or vice versa)


Investment & Timeline

Cost: $500

Timeline: Approximately 2 weeks

  • An accurate estimate will be provided upon request based on current resource availability

  • Timing may vary depending on project queue and complexity


What You'll Need to Provide

Before we begin, please prepare the following assets:

For a Complete Rebrand:

  • Logos & Favicons: All logo variations (primary, secondary, mobile, etc.)

  • Colors: Brand color palette in Hex format (e.g., #FFFFFF)

  • Fonts: Google Fonts with all required weights supported (e.g., Regular, Medium, Bold)

For Theme Switch (Dark to Light or Vice Versa):

  • Logo: Updated logo optimized for visibility on the new theme (if needed)


What's Included

✅ CSS and styling updates across your website

✅ Color scheme implementation

✅ Font family and weight updates

✅ Logo placement and updates

✅ Corner styling changes (square to rounded, or vice versa)


What's Not Included

❌ Banners and hero images

❌ Category icons

❌ Other content assets manageable through your CMS (Prismic)

You retain full control over these elements through your content management system.


The Rebranding Process

Step 1: Submit Your Request

Contact your Customer Success representative with:

  • Your rebrand request

  • All required assets (logos, colors, fonts)

  • Any specific requirements or preferences

Step 2: Development & Review

  • Our team will create a staging copy of your current site

  • We'll apply your new branding to the CSS and styling

  • You'll receive a preview URL to review the rebranded site

Step 3: Approval & Cutover Scheduling

  • Review the staging site and provide feedback

  • Once approved, select your preferred cutover date

  • Note: Brief downtime (a few minutes) may occur during cutover—we recommend scheduling outside business hours

Step 4: Go Live

  • Our team will coordinate the cutover internally

  • You'll be notified immediately when your new site is live

  • You'll receive an invite to your new Prismic repository for content management


Post-Launch

After your rebrand goes live:

  • Access your new CMS repository for content updates

  • Your old repository will be deactivated
