Step-by-Step: Enable Cash Drawer in Epson Printing Preferences
Open Windows Settings
Click the Start Menu
Select Settings
Go to Printers
Click Bluetooth & devices
Select Printers & scanners
Select Your Epson Printer
Click your Epson printer (for example: EPSON TM-m30)
Choose Printing preferences
Open the Peripherals Tab
In the Printing Preferences window, click the Peripherals tab
From the dropdown, select Cash Drawer
Enable the Cash Drawer
Set Cash Drawer #1 to Open
If you have a second cash drawer connected, you may also set Cash Drawer #2 to Open
Set When the Drawer Opens
Under Timing, select Start of Document
This ensures the drawer opens automatically when a receipt prints (recommended setting)
Save Your Changes
Click OK to save and close the window
What to Expect Next
Once saved, your cash drawer should open automatically whenever a receipt prints from this Epson printer.
If the drawer still does not open:
Confirm the drawer cable is connected to the cash drawer port on the printer (not Ethernet)
Make sure receipts are printing to the same printer the drawer is plugged into
Restart the printer and try again
If you need help testing the drawer or verifying hardware compatibility, contact support for assistance.
