Follow these steps to verify ownership of your Treez Ecommerce site using an HTML verification tag.
Before you begin
Make sure you have access to Google Search Console and your Treez Ecommerce Admin page.
Add your site to Google Search Console
1. Log in to Google Search Console: https://search.google.com/search-console
2. Click Add property.
3. Select URL prefix and enter your full Treez Ecommerce URL, including https:// and any subdomain or reverse proxy menu path. For example:
Subdomain: https://shop.yourdomain.com/
Reverse proxy menu path: https://www.yourdomain.com/menu/
Use the address customers visit to shop your Treez Ecommerce menu. Click CONTINUE.
Copy your verification token
4. On the Verify ownership screen, expand HTML tag and copy the tag. You only need the verification token inside the quotation marks after content=.
For example, if Google provides:
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="ABC123_example-token" />
Your verification token is ABC123_example-token.
Copy the entire token exactly, including any hyphens or underscores. Do not include the surrounding HTML or quotation marks.
Add the token to Treez Ecommerce
5. Open your Treez Ecommerce Admin page and select Google from the navigation menu.
6. Paste the token into the Google Search Console verification token field.
7. Click Update & Purge & Publish and wait for publishing to complete.
Verify ownership
8. Return to Google Search Console and click VERIFY in the HTML tag section.
9. An Ownership verified confirmation will appear when verification succeeds.
Your Treez Ecommerce site is now verified. Leave the verification token in your Treez Ecommerce settings to maintain verification.
