Please Note: This article pertains to Retail Analytics dashboard functionality in the Latest Version of Treez.

The Retail Analytics Discount Analysis dashboard allows you to analyze your data around the discounts you offer. For example, examine your top discounts by popularity, by AOV and by AOP to determine if your discount strategy is helping grow your business.

Log into the Latest Version of Treez and navigate to Dashboard > RA> Sales> Discount Analysis

You can customize your discount discovery journey by choosing the discount period window, order channel (Delivery, Express, In-Store, Pick-Up), or discount category (read more here).

Pro Tip: Are you a retailer with a data-savvy mindset? Try to name your discounts accurately so these names can be captured in our analysis.

The first 6 horizontal bar graphs represent your Discount Leaderboard and provide summaries on your best performing discounts. You can also hover over a specific discount to see more detail about that discount in particular.

Discount Leaderboard

Please Note:

  • Redemption means discounts being applied, so the number of redemptions indicate how many times this discount has been used.

  • Set the sliding bar at a large number for very popular discounts; and set it low to include more discounts.

  • You can also move the cursor within each bar graph area to scroll up and down for more information.

Discount In-Depth Analysis

In this section, you can narrow down your research by choosing a time range when discounts were active, and then search for one or multiple discounts in the search bar. You can also click on a specific discount title in the snapshot layout as a filter.

  • You can change the layout from snapshot to the trend bar with the dropdown menu on the top right corner.

  • The darker the shade of the green within the Discount Active Days cell, the longer this discount has been active.

  • You can drill into the performances of a discount, by clicking on that specific discount.

  • The performance can be viewed using three different metrics (average order value trends, average basket size trend, and order channel redemptions) by choosing options from the drop-down menu.

  • You can also view products sold by filtering the data by product name, product brand, or product line.

Please Note: The discount that is chosen will be displayed in a purple color. If a discount is selected from one of the leaderboard graphs, it will also be displayed and highlighted in the snapshot table.

Products Sold from this Promotion

In the example above, if we analyze the sales of 710 Lab's Pre-Pack Flower - 3.5g product line, it turns out 42 units were sold during the 710 LABS EVERYDAY DEAL 25% OFF promotion. The Trends view allows you to either see a breakdown of sales for each SKU under this product line or an aggregate view of sales for all SKUs.

Furthermore, the performance of the 710 Lab's Pre-Pack Flower - 3.5g product line can be evaluated not only during this promotion but also based on its historical sales with and without discounts. By examining both of these sections, you can determine the effectiveness of the promotion and its impact on the product's sales. Then you can determine whether the investment made in the promotion is yielding adequate returns, or if the product has a naturally high demand without any applying any discounts or promotions.
