Allow your customers to shop from your current inventory, build out their own carts, and checkout in-store for quick pickup with Treez Ecommerce's Checkout-Enabled Kiosk Mode.

Kiosk Mode allows you to use a modified version of your existing Treez Ecomm site as either a browsable in-store menu or a full-fledged in-store self-service ordering solution, depending on how it's configured.

Overview

With Checkout-Enabled Kiosk Mode, your Treez Ecommerce Kiosk will allow in-store shoppers to not only browse all of your current deals and inventory, but also to add products to their cart and submit orders.

These orders come into SellTreez Fulfillment as Express orders with the order channel Kiosk, making it easier for your team to fill these orders faster. Learn how to set your site up for self-service kiosk ordering below.

How to Enable Self-Service, In-Store Kiosk Ordering

  1. In your org's Treez Ecommerce Admin panel, navigate to the Settings page through the gear icon in the lower left corner (URL: [your Admin panel URL]/settings).

  2. Click into Customizations in the left hand Settings menu.

  3. Under Kiosk, toggle Add to cart in kiosk On (green).

  4. Click the Update button in the upper right corner to save your changes.

  5. To publish these changes, first click on the Current Store dropdown in the upper right corner, then Purge Cache. You should then see a success message confirming the cache has been purged, which means your changes have been published.

  6. Voila! A fully shoppable Kiosk Mode is now enabled for your Treez Ecommerce site.

Required Fields for Kiosk Mode Checkout

You control which fields your customers are required to fill out at checkout on Kiosk Mode. Choose from:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Date of birth

To reduce friction for your in-store customers, require the minimum field(s) your team needs in order to properly fulfill the customer's order.

How to configure required fields for Kiosk Mode checkout:

  1. In your org's Treez Ecommerce Admin panel, navigate to the Settings page through the gear icon in the lower left corner (URL: [your Admin panel URL]/settings).

  2. Click into Customizations in the left hand Settings menu.

  3. Make sure the Add to cart in kiosk config is toggled On (green).

  4. Review the "Checkout β€”..." field options and toggle On any you want to make required at checkout in Kiosk Mode. Any fields left Off will still be visible, but customers will not have to fill them out in order to complete checkout.

  5. Click the Update button in the upper right corner to save your changes.

  6. To publish these changes, first click on the Current Store dropdown in the upper right corner, then Purge Cache. You should then see a success message confirming the cache has been purged, which means your config changes have been published.

  7. Voila! Refresh your site's kiosk mode page (starting from /kiosk) to verify that checkout is working as expected. Only fields marked with an asterisk, like the First name field below, are required to be filled out by the customer.
