The Latest Version of Treez includes a powerful Tag Management system that helps your team organize and track customer interactions more efficiently. Tags can be used to group customers for targeted discounts, enhance reporting accuracy, and document manual discounts for better visibility.
Treez includes two predefined tag groups: Customer Group and Discount Reason. These tag groups are available by default and can be customized to meet your business needs.

Terminology
Tag Group – A category of tags that serve a common purpose (e.g., Discount Reason).
Tag – A label used to classify customers, reasons for discounts, or other internal tracking.
Customer Group – A tag group used to segment customer types for targeted promotions or reporting.
Discount Reason – A tag group used to document why a manual discount was applied during a transaction.

Navigating to Tag Management
Log in to the Latest Version of Treez.
Navigate to the Organization Settings icon (gear icon) in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Click Tag Management from the list of available settings.
You’ll be taken to the Tag Management screen, where you can view and manage all tag groups and associated tags.
Adding a Discount Reason Tag
From the Tag Management screen, locate the Discount Reason tag group.
Click the three vertical dots next to the tag group name.
Select Add Tag from the dropdown.
In the Create Tag window, enter the name of your new discount reason.
Click Add Tag to save it.
Your new tag will now be available for selection when applying a manual discount at the register.
Editing a Customer Group Tag
On the Tag Management screen, locate the Customer Group tag group.
Click the three vertical dots next to the tag group name and select View All Tags.
Find the tag you want to update and click the three vertical dots next to it.
Select Edit Tag.
Make your desired changes to the tag name.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Deleting a Tag
Follow steps 1–3 from the Editing a Customer Group Tag section above to locate the tag you wish to remove.
Click the three vertical dots next to the tag and select Delete Tag.
A confirmation window will appear. Click Delete to finalize the removal.
Please note: Deleted tags cannot be recovered. Be sure you no longer need the tag before deleting it.
