Managing Bulk Products in Catalog

There are several types of products in the Catalog that behave differently than the rest in order to allow them to be sold Deli-style or Packaged into additional products.

These product Categories / Subcategories are:

To create a bulk product, navigate to the Product List and click Add Product in the lower right-hand corner.

Select the proper category for the bulk product you are trying to create, either Flower or Extract. Then, enter the Product Name and select the proper Subcategory. After entering all of the desired product informaiton, click Save and Next.

Products using these Categories and Subcategories are only allowed to contain a single SKU, as their inventory is based on the total amount of Grams in-stock and they are sold in increments and partial-increments of 1 Gram. Thus, there are only options on the SKU tab to set an optional Ecommerce Menu Title, External IDs, or SKU Barcodes. Once complete, click Save and Next.

If you do not do deli-style sales and simply just need these products to receive inventory that is going to be packaged into other products in the SellTreez Packaging module, you can skip the Pricing by clicking Finish and then Skip for now when prompted with the Incomplete Pricing Alert.

Bulk products sold Deli-style are typically priced with Bulk Weight Price Tiers, but can also optionally use Flat Pricing. With Flat Pricing, Bulk products are priced with a fixed price per gram. Only Bulk Weight Price Tiers will be returned under the Tier Label dropdown.

If there are not any Price Tiers listed, either there are no Bulk Weight Price Tiers created or your user does not have the Catalog Management > Edit Product permission. If you cannot create a Bulk Weight Price Tier, they either do not have the Pricing Management > Manage Price Tiers permission, or you need your Customer Success Manager to enable Deli-style sales for your Treez account.

Custom Pricing by Retail Location

For each retail location, users are able to set Custom Prices. This means they can have a specific retail location that follows its own pricing method for the Bulk Product being edited. This can be a different Price Tier or a Flat Price

Custom Prices are static and do not change when any other pricing configuration on the product is made. To remove a custom Price, just click the "Reset" button.

If your user does not have the ability to set store-level Custom Prices, contact your Treez Administrator to grant your Role the Edit Entity Price permission.
