Overview

When a customer starts the checkout process on Treez Ecommerce, the system creates a draft ticket in SellTreez to hold their order details. This allows the order to be updated if the customer changes their cart before completing the purchase.

If the customer finalizes the order, the draft ticket automatically updates to the next order status (such as Verification Pending or Awaiting Processing).

If the customer does not complete the order, the draft ticket remains in SellTreez until it is automatically marked as Abandoned.

Key Points

  • Draft tickets are created as soon as a customer navigates to the checkout page.

  • Abandoned orders remain in draft status until they are auto-abandoned by your auto-abandon configurations.

This process ensures a seamless and accurate checkout experience for both customers and staff, and is essential for handling pre-authorized online payments.

No action is required for abandoned draft orders unless your workflow has auto-abandoned draft orders disabled.
