With the new Bundle discount method, an automated discount set as a % off, $ off, or total price adjustment can apply to a group of products if the order meets the defined purchase requirement based on the quantity or retail value of those products. This feature is especially useful when products that qualify for the bundle deal have different price points, so traditional discount methods like BOGO may be insufficient.

Examples of Bundle Deals:

  • 3 Prerolls for $30

  • $10 off $40 concentrates

  • 20% off $100 or more purchase of flower

Configuring a Bundle Discount

  1. Define the Bundle discount in Central Automated Discounts

    • Navigate to the Dashboard > Discounts > Automated Discounts

    • Select Add Discount

    • Select Bundle as the Discount Method

  2. Select Discount Method

    • Options include, % Off, $ Off, and Price At Value

    • Enter Discount Amount

  3. Define Purchase Requirement

    • The bundle purchase requirement only applies to the qualifying products on the order and not the entire cart.

    • Options include Unit Count or Retail Value

      • Unit Count is based on the total quantity.

      • Retail Value is based on the price set in the product card (cumulative).

    • Enter Purchase Amount

  4. Select Product Collection(s)

    • Select the qualifying products that must meet the purchase requirement for the bundle discount to apply.

  5. Optional: THRESHOLD setting can be enabled for % Off only:

    • Threshold Enabled: Applies the discount to the entire qualifying purchase amount when it exceeds the defined purchase requirement. For example, 20% off purchase of $100 or more of flower. With threshold enabled, if the purchase includes $120 worth of qualifying flower products, 20% is applied towards the $120.

    • Threshold Disabled (the default for all discount methods): Limits the discount to only the minimum purchase amount until the purchase minimum is fully met again. With the threshold disabled, the purchase of $120 worth of qualifying flower products, only 20%, is applied towards $100 until the purchase includes a second set of $100 qualifying products (total of $200). Use the Item Limit Condition in the Set Conditions step to restrict how many times the same discount can apply to an order.

  6. Select Stores, Schedule Discount, and Set Conditions as needed

  7. Select Finish to save the discount

NOTE: Discounting the lesser or more expensive item (applies to BOGO and Bundle)

Navigate to Configurations > Config Page > Discounts and Rewards

  • This configuration allows you to specify which items are discounted in cases where the purchase includes multiple qualifying products with different price points that exceed the discount's purchase requirement (with the bundle threshold setting disabled by default).

  • With the toggle 'Apply BOGO and Bundle to the more expensive item' enabled, the system discounts the more expensive qualifying items in the bundle to maximize the customer’s savings. When disabled, the discount applies to lesser expensive items.
