Resolving MC-Print3 Receipt Printing Issues on the New HWA

If your Star MC-Print3 receipt printer appears to stop printing or receipts are not coming out, you may need to update a printer setting. The steps below adjust a port configuration that can resolve this issue.

Steps

  1. Open Windows Settings and go to Printers & Scanners.

  2. Select your Star printer from the list.

  3. Click Manage.

  4. Select Printer Properties.

  5. Open the Star / Help tab.

  6. Click Configure Port.

  7. Enable the setting Not monitor print end by each printer job.

  8. Click OK and apply the changes.

After saving the setting, try printing a receipt again to confirm the printer is working properly. If the printer still does not print receipts, please contact support for additional troubleshooting.

Tip: You can check if print jobs are waiting in the queue by going to Printers & Scanners, selecting your printer, clicking Manage, and then selecting Open print queue. If receipts are stuck here, clearing the queue and applying the steps below may resolve the issue.
