How it works
This feature is available to customers using Treez Loyalty. When enabled, staff can redeem those points at checkout as a dollar discount applied directly to the cart. Your store sets a conversion rate that determines how many points equal $1.
For example: if the conversion rate is 100 points = $1 and a customer has 575 points, they can redeem up to $5 — leaving 75 points remaining on their account.
Configuring the discount
This feature is enabled directly in your SellTreez configurations.
1. Go to Configuration -> Config Page -> Integration -> Loyalty Integration > Treez Loyalty.
2. Toggle on Rewards Dollars Enabled.
3. Once enabled, a conversion rate field appears. Enter the number of points that equal $1.
- Example: entering 100 means 100 points = $1
4. Click Save.
Redeeming points for a dollar discount at the POS
After enabling the configuration, reward dollar discounts can be redeemed in the SellTreez POS.
1. Add items to the cart and open the loyalty wallet.
2. Select the Rewards Dollars tab (alongside the Discounts tab).
3. The customer's available point balance and the conversion rate are displayed at the top.
4. Enter the dollar amount to redeem.
- Only whole-dollar amounts are accepted — no decimals
- You cannot enter more than what the customer's balance converts to in whole dollars
5. Tap Apply. The discount is added to the order as a cart discount.
- If you remove the discount from the cart, points are restored when the wallet is reopened.
6. Proceed to checkout. The point redemption is finalized automatically upon completing the sale.
⚠️ Redeeming Points On Save Sale
If you save the sale before completing checkout, a pop-up will appear with the option to redeem points or cancel. Select your preference before saving.
Reporting
Point-to-dollar redemptions will appear in your SellTreez discount reports.
