Why this feature exists

Product attributes — like effects, flavors, and generals — are configured directly in your Treez catalog. This feature lets you surface those attributes on your ecommerce site by building a Products Carousel that automatically populates based on attribute values. Instead of manually curating a product collection, the carousel stays dynamic: as your inventory changes, the carousel updates itself.

Here's an example of an attribute-filtered carousel live on a store's site:

Before you start

Make sure the products you want to feature have the relevant attributes (effects, flavors, generals) assigned in your Treez catalog. The values must match exactly — including capitalization — for the carousel to populate correctly.

How to set it up

Step 1: Log into your CMS

Navigate to the page where you want to display the filtered carousel.

Step 2: Add a Products Carousel content slice

Insert a Products Carousel on the desired page or section.

Step 3: Find your filtered view URL

Go to your ecommerce site and navigate to the /shop page. Select the filter or filters you want to feature (Effects, Flavors, or Generals). Once your filters are applied, copy the URL from the browser — it will look something like:

/shop?effects=ENERGETIC

Paste this URL into the See All Link field in your content slice. This powers the "See All" button at the top of the carousel.

Step 4: Configure the attribute fields in your content slice

In the Effects, Flavors, and/or Generals fields, enter the attribute values you want to filter by — comma-separated and in ALL CAPS. For example:

  • Effects: EUPHORIC, RELAXED, CREATIVE

  • Flavors: APPLE, BANANA, CHOCOLATE

  • Generals: ORGANIC, VEGAN

⚠️ Values must match your catalog attributes exactly, including capitalization. If they do not match, the carousel will not populate.

Step 5: Set your See All Link

In the See All Link field, paste the filtered URL you copied from your /shop page.

Step 6: Enable Filter by Store

Make sure the Filter by Store toggle is turned on. This ensures the carousel only displays products available at the customer's selected store.

Step 7: Combine with other configurations (optional)

Attribute filtering works alongside other carousel settings — feel free to pair it with Filter by Category or any of the Sort By options to further refine what is displayed.

Tips

  • You can filter by multiple attributes at once — just populate more than one attribute field

  • Use your live /shop page to test filter combinations and copy the resulting URL before pasting it into the See All Link

  • If a product does not appear in the carousel, double-check that its attributes in the catalog match the values entered in your content slice
