Manage Brands in Catalog

Use Manage Brands to keep your catalog’s brand information clean, consistent, and complete. Correct spelling, merge duplicate brands, and add brand details from one dedicated page.

You can:

  • Add and edit brand details, including name, description, website, and image.

  • Merge duplicate brands by reassigning all products to the brand you want to keep. Once reassignment is complete, the original brand is automatically deleted.

  • Delete unused brands that have no products assigned.

  • Import curated brands by state to populate your catalog with a prepared list of cannabis brands relevant to your markets, including logos and website information.

Coming soon: Brand descriptions, websites, and images will also be available in Treez Ecommerce.

Before You Begin

  • If you do not see Manage in Catalog, contact Treez Support to have it enabled.

  • Your role must include the Catalog Management → Catalog Manage permission.

View Your Brands

  1. Open Catalog.

  2. Select Manage.

  3. Select Brands.

Browse the list of brands in your catalog or search for a specific brand. Thumbnails and website links help you identify brands, and the Products column shows how many products are assigned to each one.

Add a New Brand

  1. Go to Catalog → Manage → Brands.

  2. Select the option Add Brand.

  3. Enter the brand name.

  4. Add a description, website, and image as needed.

  5. Select Save.

The new brand is available for product assignments.

You can also add a new brand while creating or editing a product by entering a brand name that isn’t already in your catalog in the product drawer. The Manage Brands page lets you manage those brands created on the fly, including updating their details, merging duplicates, or deleting unused brands.

Edit a Brand

  1. Go to Catalog → Manage → Brands.

  2. Find the brand you want to update.

  3. Open its three-dot actions menu.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Update the name, description, website, or image.

  6. Select Save.

Use this workflow to correct a misspelled brand name, standardize formatting, or add brand information.

Merge Brands by Reassigning Products

Use reassignment to consolidate duplicate brands or move all products to the correct brand.

  1. Go to Catalog → Manage → Brands.

  2. Find the brand you want to merge into another brand.

  3. Open its three-dot actions menu.

  4. Select Reassign.

  5. Search for or select the brand you want to keep.

  6. Review the selection and select Confirm.

All products from the original brand are reassigned to the selected brand. The selected brand is retained, and the original brand is automatically deleted once all products have been reassigned.

For example, if your catalog contains Brand ABC and BrandABC, reassign products from BrandABC to Brand ABC to consolidate them under one brand.

Impact on Automated Collections

Brand reassignment also updates automated collection rules that reference the original brand to use the destination brand. These rules then apply to all products assigned to the destination brand, including products it already contained.

The reassignment confirmation displays the number of automated collections with rules referencing the original brand. Review affected collections to confirm they include or exclude the intended products.

Track Reassignment Progress

Bulk reassignment may take a few moments, depending on the number of products affected. Go to Catalog → Manage → Reassignment Jobs to track its status. Once all products have been reassigned, the original brand is automatically deleted.

Delete an Unused Brand

Brands can only be deleted when no products are assigned to them.

  1. Go to Catalog → Manage → Brands.

  2. Sort the Products column to find brands with zero assigned products.

  3. Open the brand’s three-dot actions menu.

  4. Select Delete.

  5. Review the confirmation and select Delete again.

If the brand still has products assigned, use reassignment to move them to the brand you want to keep. The original brand is automatically deleted once all products have been bulk reassigned.

Import Curated Brands

Load your catalog with curated cannabis brands relevant to the states where you operate.

  1. Go to Catalog → Manage → Brands → Curated

  2. Select Load Curated Brands

  3. Select the states where you operate.

  4. Confirm the import.

The curated list includes brand names, logos, and website information, reducing the work needed to build and maintain your brand catalog. Loading curated brands does not include product SKUs.
