How do I link AIQ to an existing customer?

Answer:

To allow for a more frictionless flow for existing customers, Treez will automatically check if the customer has already opted-in to AIQ loyalty the first time a user navigates to their profile after enabling the AIQ integration in Treez.

Link AIQ profile under Customer Management Profile

Steps:

  1. User navigates to Customer Profile's Edit screen under Customer Management

    • Please Note: “Alpine IQ loyalty” = “No” at this point

    • Treez will call out to AIQ to fetch customer's phone & email provided from the Treez profile

    • Important - The message to confirm and link a customer will only populate the first time a user navigates to a customer profile after enabling the AIQ integration.

      If Cancel is selected the customer will have to go through membership agreement Treez workflow to link their account.

  2. IF the customer exists: Options = “OK” or “Cancel”

    • Treez surfaces the message “Customer with {x} phone and {y} email has AIQ loyalty account. Link to Treez?"

  3. If user selects OK:

      • Treez grabs AIQ customer ID and the customer is now linked to Treez

      • “Alpine IQ Loyalty” will now convert to “Yes”

      • Customer is now ready for POS reward redemption

  4. If the user selects Cancel

    • Alpine IQ Customer profile will not be linked to Treez

Link AIQ profile at SellTreez POS

Description:

In the event an existing AIQ customer is checked in directly from customer queue or POS and bypasses customer management altogether, the user can then opt to link them directly from POS. Once linked, the user can launch their wallet using the same UI component used to link them.

Steps:

  1. Check-in a customer via the Customer Management queue or directly from the POS

  2. Select the blue “Redeem AIQ Rewards” button at the top of the SellTreez Cart

  3. If AIQ customer exists and Treez profile has a Phone Number and/or Email:

    • Treez will display a popup to confirm phone/email and link message:

  4. If user selects OK:

    • Treez grabs AIQ Customer ID and the customer is now linked to Treez

      • “Alpine IQ Loyalty” will now convert to “Yes” under the Treez Customer profile

      • Customer is now ready for POS reward redemption

  5. If the user selects Cancel:

    • Alpine IQ Customer profile will not be linked to Treez


IMPORTANT:

  • IF the customer does not have an Alpine IQ Profile

Treez Users should navigate to their Alpine IQ portal to create a sign up code and customer should scan your main Sign Up code with their smartphone to sign up.

  • Treez will not update customers communication opt-in preferences when linking existing AIQ customers

Communication opt-in preferences will stay in current state and can be changed by either retailer or customer directly through AIQ
