Illinois operators must use the Treez ‘Miscellaneous' Product Type for all Infused Flower and Infused Preroll items. This is because the ‘Miscellaneous’ Product Type will report as greater than 35% THC (vs standard Preroll and Flower categories), and therefore must be taxed at the higher (25%) tax rate vs the standard Preroll and Flower categories (which are taxed at 10%).

Please Also Note: Illinois operators must also pick a subtype in order for PL to work correctly from Biotrack. Any subtype will work, but it must not be left blank.

Navigate to Product > Product Management

  • Click on the orange Plus Sign

  • Choose Miscellaneous as the Product Type

  • Build your Product Card

NOTE: To ensure Infused items are decremented from the Concentrate purchase limit, values must be added to the ‘Amount’ and ‘Unit of Measure’ fields within the Product Card

Lastly, confirm the MISC category is added to the IL Excise (THC >35%) tax label.
