When to Use This Guide
This process is used by dispensary staff to set up a new customer for Legacy Treez eCommerce access or reset the password for an existing customer.
⚠️ Important:
Before resetting a password over the phone, always verify the customer’s identity. We recommend confirming age, birthdate, phone number, and any other information your store deems necessary. Access to a Legacy Treez eCommerce account may reveal sensitive documents linked to their profile, such as a driver's license or medical records.
Steps to Reset a Customer's Password
Steps for Dispensary Staff:
Go to Customer > Customer Management in the Treez portal.
Use the search bar to locate the customer by Phone Number.
Use the drop-down selector to change search criteria if needed.
Once inside the customer’s profile, click the "Reset Password" button.
Enter a temporary password, then confirm it by re-entering it in the second field.
Click "Reset Password" to save the new credentials.
Proceed with explaining the next steps the customer will need to take.
Steps for Customer:
Once the password has been reset by a dispensary staff member, proceed with the following steps.
Ask the customer to refresh their browser and log in to their Legacy Treez eCommerce account using the temporary password.
Instruct the customer to navigate to Account > Change Password in the eCommerce portal.
In the popup box:
Enter the current password (the temporary one you just provided).
Then, enter and confirm their new desired password.
Click "Save" to apply the new password.
