The Treez Intake App (beta) for iOS allows anyone on your staff to check-in and sign-up new customers. It uses the camera on any mobile iOS device (6th gen+) to scan the 2D barcode of an ID or Driver’s License and add a customer to the queue or create a new customer profile.

Tip: The Intake App can’t be used in Arizona at this time due to state-specific purchase limit regulations.

Step 1: On your iOS device download the Intake App by searching for Treez.io in the app store.

Step 2: Tap the Treez icon to open the app and enter your Dispensary ID (the prefix to your Treez portal URL). Then enter the username and password you use to log into Treez.

  • Swipe left or right to switch tabs:

    • Documents: View documents (such as a license or medical recommendation) on file for the customer. You can also select ‘Upload New Document’ to take a photo of a new document to add it to the customer’s profile.

    • Purchases: See a list of the customer's past transactions

Checking-in Existing Customers

Step 1: On your iOS device, tap the Treez icon to open the Intake App. Then tap the Scan icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

Step 2: When Scan opens, put the customer’s ID or driver’s license (barcode side up) in front of the iPhone camera. Center the 2D barcode within the white box on your screen until the iPhone scans the ID.

NOTE: Some IDs have both a 1D and 2D barcode printed on them, so if the ID isn’t scanning properly try covering the 1D barcode with your finger so the reader isn’t capturing the wrong one.

Step 3: If the customer is already in your Treez portal, the app will bring up their existing profile. Tap the Check in button to add them to the customer queue.

  • If the screen says ‘Expired ID’ it means the customer’s ID, or license, is past its expiration date. You won’t be able to check-in the customer until they provide a non-expired ID to scan.

  • If the screen says ‘Customer Not Found’ this is a new customer and you’ll need to sign up a new customer.

  • If the screen says ‘Expired Rec’, it means the customer’s recommendation has expired and you can’t use the app to check them in.
