Note: The process outlined below is similar for any printer model but the drivers each have different naming conventions.
Setting up your cash drawer to pop at the right moment will help streamline the transaction process and keep your lines moving.

Star TSP 100 LAN
The cash drawer connects to your receipt printer, which is triggered to open when you finish a sale and the receipt is printed. We recommend setting the cash drawer to pop before the receipt is printed, so you’re able to begin making change as soon as the sale is completed.
Step 1: Plug the RJ12 connector cable (the one that looks like a phone line) from the cash drawer into the receipt printer.
Step 2: Open the Devices and Printers window on your computer.
If you’re having trouble locating this page, you can type 'Devices and Printers' into the Windows search bar, found in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
Step 3: Right-click on your receipt printer, select Printer Properties > Device Settings.
Step 4: From this window, change the Peripheral Unit Type to 'Cash Drawer' and set the Peripheral Unit 1 and Peripheral Unit 2 options to 'Document Top’.
Setting the Peripheral Unit 1 and 2 options to ‘Document Bottom’, will cause the drawer to print only after the receipt has finished printing.
Step 5: Tap Apply to save these settings, then print a test receipt from the ‘View Recent Receipts’ section of SellTreez.
NOTE: If you hear a click, but the drawer doesn't pop, make sure there isn't a key keeping the drawer locked.
