The SellTreez Customer Facing Display (CFD) elevates the checkout by driving product upsells, building shopper trust, and increasing AOV with integrated cashless payments. Ready out-of-the-box with custom screens and promotions, CFD helps dispensaries to boost shopper engagement while easing staff workload.
Below is an overview of what you'll need to chose the correct hardware, and setup your Customer Facing Display.
Hardware Specifications for CFD
To host your CFD, you can use any secondary display with a wired connection to your SellTreez POS, or standalone devices such as tablets as long as they have internet access and a web browser!
Hardware Requirements:
Wired or wireless
Touchscreen enabled
Min 10" screen size
For iPads - must be 10th gen or newer
Pro Tip:
If you are already using tablets as in-store menus, such as iPads, you can save money, and the environment by reusing this current hardware.
Role & Permissions for CFD

Note: Pole Display with the auto-scroll menu is not supported on iPads.
Pole Display, unlike Pole Display Light, supports the legacy Treez eCommerce auto-scroll menu.
In the enhanced CFD, the auto-scroll menu has been replaced with a custom welcome idle image and the promoted products carousel if enabled.

Setting Up Your CFD - Wired Display
Use these step by step instructions to effectively set up the physical hardware for your customer facing displays.
Step 1
Connect your display hardware to your secondary monitor. Next, connect your secondary monitor to your Windows PC where a cash drawer will be used via HDMI, USB, or other video connection.
Step 2:
From your Windows PC, type 'Display Settings' into the Windows Search bar and click the 'Display Settings' result.
Step 3:
Scroll down to the 'Multiple Displays' section and select 'Extend these displays'.
Step 4:
Open a new, separate browser window and navigate to Retail > Pole Display within your SellTreez instance.
Step 5:
From this page, select the hardware location you’d like to show on the CFD from the list. Typically, the CFD is associated with the POS terminal the Pole Display is mounted on or near.
Step 6:
Drag the browser window with the CFD across your Windows PC and onto the secondary monitor.
Optionally, you may use the Windows keyboard shortcuts below to move the browser window to the extended display.

Important note:
We suggest using the 'Full Screen' mode on the broswer window for a cleaner visual of your CFD. You can enter full-screen mode in the Chrome browser by hitting the F11 key on your keyboard.
Step 7:
After selecting the appropriate hardware location, the default welcome screen will load on your CFD. You can update your welcome screen with a custom image from Admin Dashboard > Organization Settings > Front Facing Display.
Important note:
For dispensaries with multiple locations, your welcome screen will be the same over every location.
When you add items to the customer’s cart in Sell Treez, the same product and pricing information will automatically populate on the secondary monitor in real time.
Step 8: If you need to change the cash drawer that’s being displayed, simply click your browser's refresh button and select the appropriate cash drawer from the list as you did in step 5.

Setting Up Your CFD - Wireless Tablet
To show the Customer Facing Display on an iPad, or another browser-enabled device that is not physically connected to the Windows PC, use the following the steps below:
For security purposes, we recommend creating a dedicated role with access limited to CFD (Pole Display/Light) functions. Additionally, each display device should have its own unique user account to ensure the best experience.
Step 1: Set up your browser-enabled device in front of or near the POS station it will be linked to.
Step 2: In the new browser window, navigate to Retail > Pole Display Light in your Treez instance and associate your display to the correct POS station.
NOTE: If the browser on your device supports 'Full Screen' mode, we suggest putting the browser into this mode for a cleaner look.
