NOTE: The following applies only for BioTrack enabled New York licensees after the BioTrack migration has been completed.
In BioTrack New York, actions taken by users in their Inventory Management Systems and Point of Sale systems should be reported to BioTrack, via API, as the user that performed the action. This means that actions such as sales and inventory adjustments etc. Should be reported to BioTrack as the user that physically performed the action. Treez makes this easy with BioTrack User management and BioTrack Account linking.

BioTrack User Management
Treez allows BioTrack administrators to mange view, create, edit and delete (deactivate) user accounts in BioTrack using our BioTrack Users module. BioTrack users are users who have access to the BioTrack API and should be provided to any user who is performing actions that will be communicated to BioTrack such as sales, returns, inventory adjustments and inventory receiving.

Linking a BioTrack User Account to a Treez User Account
In order to link a BioTrack user to a Treez user, a BioTrack user must first be created for the Treez user. Once the account is created, the user can login to their Treez account and link their personal BioTrack account to their Treez account in just a few steps.
Learn how to link your BioTrack user account to your Treez user account in the Linking BioTrack Users to Treez Users section of our How to Manage BioTrack Users help center article.
What Happens if a BioTrack Account is not Linked to a Treez User
If a Treez user performs an action that is communicated to BioTrack and has not linked their BioTrack user account to their Treez user account, the action will be reported to BioTrack as the user who setup the default credentials on Config Page > Integration so that the action can be reported to BioTrack in a timely manner.
What Happens if a BioTrack Account is Linked But the Credentials Become Invalid
If a Treez user has previously linked their BioTrack account to their Treez account and later changes their password or their BioTrack user is deactivated without updating their linked BioTrack credentials, the actions reported to BioTrack will attempt to use the credentials on file and will fail to report to BioTrack.
