Treez is releasing an update to Arizona Purchase limits beginning the last week of January 2026.

Adult Use

An Adult Use customer is defined as a customer with the Adult Use toggle ON in the Member section of their customer profile in Customer Management. This should be used for customers who are not registered medical patients in the state.

Check-in and Adding to Cart

Previously, the default behavior required users to enter the customer's allotment each time an adult user consumer was checked in or added to a cart in SellTreez.

Now, when checking in an adult-use customer in Customer Management or adding an adult-use customer to a cart in SellTreez, users will no longer be prompted to enter the Adult Use allotment. The Adult Use allotment of 1 ounce will automatically be applied.

Allotment Limits Display

Previously, the SellTreez cart displayed 4 purchase limit bars: Total, Edible, Medical Marijuana, and Non-Edible. Each of these bars was set to the amount entered into the Purchase Allotment screen.

Now, the SellTreez cart will display Total, Marijuana and Concentrate. The Total and Marijuana bars will be set to 1 ounce, and the Concentrate bar will be set to 5 grams.

Total Limit Bar

The Total bar will track the total amount of cannabis products added to the cart, including both products that contribute to the Marijuana and Concentrate bars. The cart will not be allowed to exceed a Total of 1 ounce. If the calculated cart total of cannabis products exceeds 1 ounce (Marijuana + Concentrate), a red banner will appear at the top of the cart, and the checkout button will be disabled. This is known as STRICT behavior.

Marijuana Limit Bar

The Marijuana bar will track cannabis flower products, including the flower portion of infused products such as infused preroll or infused flower. If the cart total of cannabis flower products exceeds 1 ounce, a red banner will appear at the top of the cart, and the checkout button will be disabled. This is known as STRICT behavior.

Concentrate Limit Bar

The Concentrate bar will track cannabis concentrate products, including the concentrate portion of infused products such as infused preroll and infused flower as well as edibles, beverages, etc. If the cart total of cannabis concentrate products exceeds 5 grams, a yellow banner will appear at the top of the cart, and the checkout button will not be disabled. This is known as WARN behavior.

TIP: If you would like the concentrate limit behavior to be STRICT, meaning a red banner will appear in the cart, and the checkout button will be disabled, please contact us to configure this for you.

The decision to set this behavior to WARN by default comes from a number of operators requesting WARN be the default behavior due to their interpretation of "concentrates". Operators are solely responsible for compliance with all laws and regulations in their jurisdiction.

Medical

A Medical customer is defined as a customer with the Adult Use toggle OFF in the Member section of their customer profile in Customer Management. Where applicable, the patient's State Medical ID# should also be entered.

Check-in and Adding to Cart

The default behavior requires users to enter the customer's allotment each time a medical patient is checked in or added to a cart in SellTreez. The behavior remains unchanged.

Allotment Limits Display

Previously the SellTreez cart displayed 4 purchase limit bars; Total, Edible, Medical Marijuana and Non-Edible. Each of these bars was set to the amount entered into the Purchase Allotment screen.

Now the cart will continue to display 4 bars, the Non-Edible bar has been renamed to "Other" to align with the naming conventions used in the Arizona Marijuana Licensing Management System (MLMS). Aligning the naming conventions used here allows dispensary staff to more easily fill in the purchasing information in the MLMS. The amount entered should be the patient's remaining allotment according to the MLMS.
