Question:

Why Are Some of My Receipts Now Saying UNPAID at the Top?

Answer:

We have added a visual, "UNPAID", to the top of receipts that have always shown a 0$ paid status at the bottom of the receipt. Functionality has not changed.

This visual enhancement can be seen in Fulfillment or at the POS before payment has been collected.

This will not display on a receipt that has been paid.

Fraud/theft prevention is always top of mind for our clients, and this enhancement is in support of clients being able to quickly identify receipts that are not paid for, trace an order associated with the receipt and then identify if this is a real or an attempt at fraud/theft.

Note: In the delivery model, we understand that mobile printing devices are not common and that receipts are often times printed beforehand to give to clients upon delivery.

  • If a delivery is paid for before the order is physically delivered, the receipt will not have "unpaid" at the top.

  • If a delivery order collects payment at the time of physical delivery the receipt will say "unpaid" at the top which is technically correct.

We understand this can be jarring for our clients and their customers to see this new receipt style. We encourage you to explain to your customers this is a proactive measure to reduce the potential for fraud and theft.
